Madison County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. Madison County is part of the Columbus, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area.

In 1850, the county contained 24 churches and one newspaper office, had a total population of 10,015, and the county's public school system had 3838 pupils.〔Thomas Baldwin & J.
